On September 14th, 2018, the grand opening of the new multimedia room edu.lab took place at the Jakob Fugger Gymnasium Augsburg. All supporters and friends of the Jakob Fugger Gymnasium came to the opening. After a short welcome by the headmaster Wilhelm Kugelmann and the head of school department of the city of Augsburg Hermann Köhler, the project manager Jörg Haas presents the new concept and the state-of-the-art equipment of the laboratory to the guests. While the guests had a short visit at the small “analog” buffet, the students of the JFG conquered their edu.lab and set the equipment to life. Robots were built, minicomputers and scratch games programmed, pancakes printed with the edu.lab logo as dessert, new VR worlds discovered and first attempts made with the 3D scanner and 3D printers …
